The Trump administration is sending a warning following Bad Bunny‘s Halftime Show announcement.
Days after it was announced that the 31-year-old Puerto Rican superstar will be headlining the Halftime Show at the 2026 Super Bowl, a Trump advisor suggested that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents will be patrolling the big game, which will be taking place in February.
Keep reading to find out more…“I don’t care if it’s a concert for Johnny Smith or Bad Bunny or anybody else, we’re going to do enforcement everywhere,” Trump advisor Corey Lewandowski shred on Benny Johnson‘s podcast on Wednesday (October 1).
“We are going to make Americans safe,” he continued. “That is a directive from the president. If you’re in this country illegally, do yourself a favor: Go home.”
Lewandowski later added, “There is nowhere that you can provide safe haven to people in this country illegally. Not the Super Bowl and nowhere else. We will find you. We will apprehend you. We will put you in a detention facility, and we will deport you. So know that that is a very real situation under this administration, which is completely contrary to what how it used to be.”
“It’s so shameful that they’ve decided to pick somebody who just seems to hate America so much to represent them at the halftime game,” he said.
Bad Bunny‘s decision to headline the Halftime Show may have come as a big surprise to many fans, especially since he declared earlier this year that he will not be touring stateside due to fears that ICE agents might detain and deport concert-goers.
