“You see me outside with my billion dollar bae / Please enjoy your Chick-fil-A / Wanted the fame, used my name / Bet you thought you could do that / I won’t entertain all your narcissistic ways, I won’t allow it,” she declares on the feisty uptempo track.

When asked about the track, Mariah confirmed that it’s about a “specific” someone, although she didn’t name any names.

“There was a specific person, internally. I liked it. I liked the vibe of it,” she explained to Gayle King, adding “It’s a little saucy.”

When asked if that was her intention, she said: “It was, but it got saucier.”

“We took a long time writing it—not a long time with the actual words or the music, but it was just over time we produced more and did more. It’s another one with [Anderson .Paak], and he’s just so great at that type of vibe. There are some kiss-off moments in that. ‘I won’t entertain all your narcissistic ways’ is one of my favorite moments. ‘Should have been more proactive’—these parts just make me laugh,” she told Apple Music.

Fans have been speculating about whether the song is about one of her exes. Mariah notably split with Bryan Tanaka in late 2023. She was also married to Nick Cannon, and they share two kids together. Prior to that, Mariah was married to Tommy Mottola.
