
Jimmi Simpson has joined The Walking Dead universe!
On Wednesday (September 24), it was announced that the 49-year-old Emmy-nominated actor has been cast as a series regular for the upcoming third season of AMC’s The Walking Dead: Dead City.
Jimmi is best known for his roles in It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Psych, House of Cards, Zodiac, and Westworld.

Season 3 will pick up in the aftermath of the Season 2 finale, which aired in June 2025.
Here’s the logline for the upcoming season: “Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) finally put aside their differences to build the first thriving community in Manhattan since the apocalypse, but when chaos in the city begins to arise, they are forced to question: Have they learned from their old wounds or will their dark past spell doom for the entire city?”
Production for season three of The Walking Dead: Dead City is currently underway in Boston.
