I Dream of Jeannie star Barbara Eden denies that she was ever feuding with fellow television legend Elizabeth Montgomery of Bewitched fame.
The rumors about an alleged feud between the stars have persisted throughout the years due to Barbara and Elizabeth starring on popular 1960s sitcoms, both with magical themes, at the same time. Their shows also both filmed on the Columbia Pictures lot.

Barbara spoke out in a new 2025 interview to address the rumors.
“Remember, the only time we saw each other was at 6:00 in the morning. So we were not really Chatty Cathy at that time of the morning, at least I’m not. It was hello, goodbye. It’s good to see you. Things like that,” Barbara explained to People.
This isn’t the first time the Golden Globe-nominated star has addressed the rumors. On September 13, she told Fox Digital News that she “enjoyed being with” Elizabeth.
During the Bewitched 60th Anniversary Special, Barbara suggested that “if there was any perceived rivalry, it was the producers’ invention,” People notes.
Elizabeth sadly passed away in 1995 at the age of 62.
