Christina Applegate is revealing a scary health update!
The 53-year-old Married… with Children actress recorded the Tuesday (August 5) episode of her MeSsy podcast from the hospital. She revealed during the episode that she was hospitalized with severe pain that she alter found out was from a kidney infection.
Christina told her co-host, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, that she started to feel sick while on vacation. After arriving back in LA, she decided to go straight to the hospital to get checked out just in case.

“I’m staying here because I want answers. I want every test that you can possibly think of or ones that you haven’t even thought of, and I want them done,” Christina recalled telling the hospital staff when she arrived and requested to be admitted.
She said that she woke up in the middle of the night with extreme pain on one side and assumed that it must have been her appendix.
She said she was taken in for a scan immediately and they found out that it was an infection in one of her kidneys, which she says has spread to her other kidney as well.
“I’m just gonna be here,” Christina said of the fact that she was recording the podcast from the hospital. “Because of this kidney infection, I have to have intravenous antibiotics right now. And that’s where we’re at.”
