Taylor Frankie Paul‘s ex Dakota Mortensen shared a cryptic message following news that she will be leading the next season of The Bachelorette.
Earlier this week, it was announced that the 31-year-old The Secret Wives of Mormon Wives star will be looking for love on season 22 of the ABC dating reality show.
Keep reading to find out more…Hours after Taylor‘s announcement was made, Dakota, 32, posted a selfie on his Instagram Story looking visibly emotional while sharing a cryptic message.
“Had so many curveballs today and every time I am always reminded there is nothing more important than God and family,” the real estate agent wrote on Wednesday (September 10). “Life is to [sic] short.”
Then the next day, Dakota posted a video on his Instagram feed where he pretended to be the next Bachelor.
“Hi, my name is Lindsay and I’m searching for love,” Dakota lip-synced to an audio of Lindsay Lohan‘s 2009 mock dating video. “I’m recently single, I think, and I’m looking for someone whom I can spend the rest of my life with, or at least the rest of my probation with.”
He wrote over the clip, “Is this how it works to be the next Bachelor?”
Then in the caption of the post, Dakota said that he was just joking around and wished Taylor good luck on her Bachelorette journey.
“It’s a joke.. everyone relax lol that being said I am happy for Tay and I hope she finds happiness no matter what ❤️🩹🫶🏽” he wrote.
If you didn’t know, Taylor and Dakota dated on and off from 2022 until 2024 and they share 17-month-old son Ever.
