Tom Holland just revealed there is a succession plan for the next actor to take over the role of Spider-Man.
He also revealed that the plan has been in the works since they finished Spider-Man: No Way Home. No Way Home was released in 2021.
Here’s what Tom Holland teased about the next Spider Man star
“There’s a whole plan that we have been working on for, I would say, since we finished ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home.’ It’s laid out. It’s gonna change for sure, but I have a really clear vision to the passing on of the baton, and I think it’s really exciting,” Tom said on the Happy Sad Confused podcast.
While we don’t know who will be the next Spider-Man, we do know some actors who got very close to landing the role.
How long will Tom Holland continue playing Spider-Man?
As he just turned 30 years old, there are questions about how long he’ll play Spider-Man, who is famously a high school student when he becomes the superhero.
“I would love to pass the baton on, but I haven’t achieved that yet … I think the truth is that playing Spider-Man has been the joy of my life. I now kind of stand on the plinth of like, I’ll do it for as long as they’ll have me,” he told GQ last month.

Tom returns as the web-slinging superhero, alongside a superstar cast featuring Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal as the Punisher, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando as Scorpion, and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner. It hits theaters tomorrow!
