Fans believe that Kaitlan Collins subtly addressed the remarks the President of the United States made about her publicly.
During the re-scheduled White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Friday night (July 24), the 80-year-old President made vile remakes about the 34-year-old CNN anchor’s appearance and demeanor.
At the event, Kaitlan was honored with an award for her coverage of Trump’s Oval Office blow-up with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy in February 2025
About her honor, Trump said, “I want to personally congratulate CNN’s Kaitlan Collins on receiving her award. It was all about me. It’s a fake– she shouldn’t get the award, it was a fake. But I didn’t mind, I said, ‘Kaitlan, congratulations.’ But it was fake, there’s no question about it.”
He then went on to repeat one of his go-to criticisms of Kaitlan, saying that she never smiles.
He said, “She’s a young, attractive woman. She never smiles. I said, ‘Kaitlan, do you ever smile? Smile. You have a nice position, you’re at CNN fake news, you should be a happy person. So smile, Kaitlan, just smile.’”
After the event, Kaitlan shared some photos on her Instagram.
She captioned the photo dump with, “The second best part of last night’s White House Correspondents Dinner was receiving an award from my friend and mentor, @wolfblitzer. The first was reminding everyone why the First Amendment — and asking uncomfortable questions that people in power don’t like — matters.”
However, it was the last slide of the photo dump that caught attention.
She shared a photo of a famous Eleanor Roosevelt quote that read, “No one can make you feel inferior without your consent.”
