After making a grand entrance at the opening of Hollywood hotspot Club Hun Bunz, guests partied well into the night inside the exclusive Los Angeles celebration for fashion designer Jen Kao‘s 45th birthday on Saturday (July 18).

The venue was transformed into a love letter to early 2000s Los Angeles nightlife, complete with flashing lights, an ice luge, VIP corners, and a packed dance floor. Guests embraced the Y2K dress code in Von Dutch-inspired trucker hats, low-rise denim, Ed Hardy prints, bandage dresses, micro minis, oversized sunglasses, and sky-high heels that looked straight out of the Sunset Strip circa 2003.

The dance floor never slowed down as G.L.A.M./ColbieDJ Pretty Mess (Erika Jayne)Ana CalderonDaisy O’Dell, and Mark Baker kept the music going throughout the evening. Guests fueled the all-night dance marathon with vodka Red Bulls, drinks flowing freely, and shots down the ice luge.

Among the last to leave the dance floor were best friends Jenya FlowersJacob Kim, and Tsz Lo, who reportedly danced until the very end. Husband Adam Leibsohn was spotted smiling from the sidelines, proudly supporting both Jen and the evening’s promoter, pet pooch Honey Kao-Leibsohn.

Guests also enjoyed Ed Hardy-inspired cakes by celebrity baker Alana Jones Mann along with bites from La Morra, while many stopped by a merch station stocked with exclusive Club Hun Bunz apparel and T-shirts featuring some of Jen’s signature sayings.

The celebration also featured one-of-a-kind live fashion sketches by artist Tim Nguyen, giving guests a personalized keepsake to take home from the evening.

Of course, no early 2000s-inspired club night would be complete without plenty of bathroom mirror selfies, and guests happily obliged throughout the evening.

Jen also kept everyone on their toes with not one but two wardrobe changes, proving she was every bit the night’s headliner.

By the end of the evening, guests were leaving in their Club Hun Bunz trucker hats after surviving what many were already calling the hottest club opening in Los Angeles.

Happy Birthday, Jen Kao!
