Anthony Guidera has sadly passed away.
The actor, best known for playing Anthony the bodyguard in The Godfather Part III and Robbie in Species, died after collapsing suddenly on May 11.
His wife Valarie told TMZ that he collapsed in the living room of their home in Southern California, and his heart had suddenly stopped.
He was taken to the hospital and put on life support for three weeks, until ultimately being taken off life support due to his own directive. He passed away at home.
There is still no determined cause of death.
In addition to his first two roles, Anthony starred in The Rock, Precious Find, ‘Til There Was You, The Postman, Armageddon and The Annihilation of Fish. He has also appeared on shows like Baywatch, Star Trek and Angel.
“Thank you for walking through life’s happier times with us, for the unforgettable celebrations, endless smiles and for being a meaningful part of our too short story,” Valarie wrote on a friend’s tribute to the late actor.
The couple were on the team of the organization Astara, described as “a spiritual foundation created to share esoteric wisdom and present different methods of Higher Self discovery.”
Our thoughts are with Anthony Guidera‘s loved ones at this incredibly difficult time. We have sadly lost many stars in 2026.
