Mary Bonnet is firing back about reports that she was fired from the Oppenheim Group amid her exit from Selling Sunset.
The 45-year-old starred on the show since season one, but a major cast shakeup was reported last month that suggested Mary, Emma Hernan, Chelsea Lazkani and Sofia Vergara‘s sister Sandra Vergara would not be back.
Mary Bonnet is now clearing the air about the alleged “firing”
“I’m not fired to make that clear,” she shared with Inman News. “I’m very much still the Vice President at the Oppenheim Group. I’m still very much a part of the Oppenheim Group and doing real estate and best friends with Jason [Oppenheim].”
She continued, “Nothing is going to change that. It’s simply the show and the vision of it. I want it to be more women empowerment and not what it has been.”

Days before the news was announced, Mary gave a cryptic answer about her future on the show.
About the season 10 cast, she said, “Producers know. I don’t know. I have no say over anything – well, actually, maybe I did have a little say, but I don’t know…Production was trying to decide. Netflix wanted a change-up, and there’s gonna be a lot of changes.”
She apparently also said, “I don’t think anybody really knows what the changes are really gonna be, other than [returning cast members Heather Rae El Moussa and Christine Quinn]…Well, there is more changes than that. I just can’t say.”
