Robin Quivers shared some life-changing news with listeners of The Howard Stern Show this week!
During a live episode of SiriusXM’s long-running radio show, the co-host revealed that she is officially cancer-free, more than a decade after first being diagnosed.
Howard Stern introduced the emotional moment by telling listeners he had some of the best news he had ever heard.
“Robin, it gives me a chill to even say it, but this is honestly the best news ever. Go ahead,” Howard said.
Robin then got the chance to give the news herself, saying, “I’m cancer free.”
Robin Quivers shares major health update
Howard reflected on Robin‘s health journey and praised the strength she showed after being diagnosed 14 years ago.
“What do you think of that? 14 years ago, when Robin was diagnosed, she took charge of her health. She started to do all the right things. She never deviated. And I’m telling you, Robin, on behalf of this show, and you know, of course, to me, you’re the most important. And I love you. And I am so happy for you. And I don’t even know what you must be feeling inside.”
Robin responded, “I feel like a brand-new person.”
Robin compared the news to winning the lottery
Howard then went on to ask what it was like for Robin to receive official confirmation that she was cancer-free after so many years.
“When you read the piece of paper that said cancer-free, you probably were like checking it nine times to make sure you were reading it right,” he assumed.
Robin agreed with him, comparing the experience to winning the lottery.
“I was like a person who’s won the lottery and can’t believe their eyes when they’re seeing all the numbers. Is this what I think it says?”
“Unbelievable miracle. God bless you,” the disc jockey said. “Congratulations. I can’t be happier.”
