The 28-year-old Green Bay Packers running back and NFL star player was arrested in Wisconsin on Tuesday (May 26) after an alleged domestic violence incident over the weekend on Saturday (May 23).
He is now facing felony charges of “strangulation and suffocation — assault, as well as misdemeanor charges of battery — assault, disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and intimidation of a victim,” according to Brown County Jail records obtained by People.
Josh is currently being held without bond, per the report.

The police also shared a press release, as obtained by Ian Rapoport.
On May 23, 2026, at approximately 8:37 a.m., the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department was dispatched to a disturbance complaint involving Josh Jacobs.
As a result of the investigation, Josh Jacobs was subsequently arrested on May 26, 2026, and booked into the Brown County Jail on the following charges:
Battery – Domestic Abuse
Criminal Damage to Property – Domestic Abuse
Disorderly Conduct – Domestic Abuse
Strangulation and Suffocation
Intimidation of a Victim
This remains an active and ongoing investigation. No further information will be released at this time.

Josh Jacobs joined the Packers in 2024
Josh played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide and was selected by the Oakland Raiders in the first round of the 2019 NFL draft. He was named to the NFL All-Rookie Team in 2019 and to his first Pro Bowl in 2020. He signed with the Packers in 2024.
