Olivia Rodrigo is causing a panic in Manhattan!
The 23-year-old “drop dead” singer-songwriter was spotted filming what appears to be a music video accompanied by several ballet dancers on Tuesday (May 26) in the streets of uptown New York City.

Just days before, Olivia dropped the music video for “The Cure,” which is featured on her upcoming third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love.
She stepped out for a special screening and intimate Q&A at The Metrograph on Thursday night (May 22) in New York City as well.

The event saw fans lining up around the block for a chance to get inside the theater, where they were treated to Olivia-inspired cocktails and light bites. Get all the details from the party!
Olivia opened up about the meaning behind the new song in a tweet announcing its release.
This song is the thesis statement of you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love and it made the whole album click for me. I hope you enjoy it.

Olivia told iHeartRadio, “‘The Cure’ is my favorite song on the album. It’s kind of like the climax of the record. It’s just sort of about how, when you’re younger, you think falling in love with someone will fix all of your problems. And then I think when you face love in reality, you realize that that’s not the truth. So this is just me coming to terms with things that I wanted to be fixed about myself or things that I thought that love would solve. And lo and behold, it didn’t. So I wrote a song about it.”
Olivia‘s third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, is set to be released on June 12. Just a few more weeks away!

You can catch Olivia performing her new music on tour later this year, but sadly for fans without tickets, the whole tour is already sold out.
