Pedro Pascal‘s face is only seen for a few minutes in the new movie The Mandalorian & Grogu, so you might be wondering if he’s even in the suit when the character has his helmet on.
Pedro is reprising his role as Din Djarin for the big-screen movie after portraying the character in three seasons of the Disney+ series The Mandalorian.

So, who is in The Mandalorian suit?
Pedro confirmed while promoting the TV series that he only provides voiceover for “a lot of” the show.
“There was an extended amount of experimentation, being in the suit for a lot of it, and frankly, my body wasn’t up for the task as far as, like, the four months of it. But I was in it. I was in it a significant amount, an elastic amount (he pretends to tug at his neck, where the suit would chafe). But now we’ve figured it out, which is super cool, and amazingly, it gave me the opportunity to be able to go and do something else,” he told THR.
It has been reported that Pedro only did the voiceover work for seasons 1 and 3, while he actually appeared in the suit for most of season 2.
Actor Brendan Wayne appears in the suit for the movie and is credited as the “Mandalorian Suit Performer” with Lateef Crowder credited as the stunt performer.

Brendan Wayne is the grandson of the legendary actor John Wayne
“When they were directing me, the more still I became, the more I became like my grandfather, the more I became like the samurai that he studied,” Brendan told EW. “Every movement had a meaning; you don’t waste them. And with samurai, every movement is a kill movement.”
