Addison Rae‘s dad is back in the headlines.
Amid his ongoing legal drama, Monty Lopez has filed for divorce from wife Kaitlyn after less than a year of marriage. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Monty filed for divorce on Monday, May 18.
The documents state that the two got married in Las Vegas on October 25, 2025 before separating less than a month later on November 15.
News of the divorce comes after Monty was arrested on April 28 on a felony charge of possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Days later, he filed a protective order against Kaitlyn, alleging that she had a gun during a recent altercation and claiming there had been multiple physical conflicts throughout their relationship. A judge granted Monty a temporary protection order, requiring Kaitlyn to leave their home and stay at least 100 yards away.
Addison and her father have had a strained relationship ever since he split from her mother, Sheri Easterling. They got married in 2004, welcoming Addison one year later, followed by sons Enzo and Lucas. They split at one point, but remarried in 2017 before splitting again in 2022 amid cheating allegations.
Monty was previously arrested in 2025 in a separate incident in which he was accused of exposing himself in a public place in 2024. He pleaded not guilty to the charges. In February 2025, Sheri filed for sole custody of their then-12-year-old son as part of their divorce case in light of his alleged sex crime charge stemming from the 2025 arrest.
