Loni Anderson Dead – Emmy Nominated ‘WKRP in Cincinnati’ Actress Passes Away at 79 | Loni Anderson, RIP | Just Jared: Celebrity News and Gossip

Loni Anderson has sadly passed away.

The actress, best known for her role as Jennifer Marlowe on WKRP in Cincinnati, died on Sunday (August 3) in Los Angeles, THR reports.

Loni‘s publicist Cheryl J Kagan announced the actress’ passing after “an acute prolonged illness,” just two days before her birthday.

The late actress was a two-time Emmy and three-time Golden Globe nominee for her role on WKRP in Cincinnati.

Loni has also had notable roles in shows such as The Love Boat, Partners In Crime, Easy Street, Nurses and Melrose Place, as well as for portraying Jayne Mansfield in 1980 TV movie The Jayne Mansfield Story.

She also had a highly publicized marriage with Burt Reynolds from 1988 to 1994.

Loni Anderson is survived by daughter Deidra and son Quinton, as well as her fourth husband Bob Flick, grandchildren Megan and McKenzie, stepson Adam, and step-grandchildren Felix and Maximilian.

There will be a private service at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery and a celebration of life set for a later date.
