Meryl Streep is rumored to be dating Martin Short, though they’ve never publicly confirmed anything.
The 76-year-old Oscar-winning actress is currently finishing up the press tour for The Devil Wears Prada 2, a long awaited sequel that just released in theaters this weekend.
While Meryl and Martin, 76, have been friends a long time, the romantic rumors first started in 2024 after the Mamma Mia actress joined the cast of his hit Hulu show Only Murders in the Building.
Meryl recently said she might want to do Broadway with Martin
While it’s unclear if the two actors are really together, Meryl did name drop in an interview recently when talking about whether she would ever return to Broadway.
“Oh, I would love to do so. I was talking with Marty Short about that,” she said during an interview with Andy Cohen.
She was previously married for 40 years
Meryl married sculptor Don Gummer in 1978 and they were married for 40 years until they separated in 2018. They have four children together, Henry Wolfe Gummer, 46, Mary Willa “Mamie” Gummer, 42, Grace Jane Gummer, 39, and Louisa Jacobson Gummer, 34.
Martin has also been married. He was with actress Nancy Dolman for 30 years until she died from ovarian cancer in 2010.
