Erika Kirk is calling out her critics.
On Wednesday (April 29), the 37-year-old widow of right wing podcaster Charlie Kirk took to X to share a video in which she fiercely defended herself against her portrayal in the media, and slammed comedian Druski following his viral impersonation of her.
“This culture we’re living in absorbs disagreements as a form of personal betrayal [and] it turns having an opposing viewpoint into a moral crime worthy of punishment,” Erika said. “Having lived through quite literal hell these past seven months, if you strip someone of their humanity long enough, you will arrive at the chilling conclusion that they don’t deserve to exist at all.”
“Every morning I wake up to a new headline written about me,” she continued. “I have comedians dressing up in whiteface [and] I have people saying I’m not fit to be CEO and I have Candace Owens claiming I murdered my husband, and the list goes on and on and on.”
Last month, Druski went viral for his “conservative women” video and viewers were quick to notice that the comedian appeared to be dressed up as Erika. His impersonation even convinced Grok, Elon Musk‘s AI chatbot on X, that he was really Erika.
In the new video, Erika went on to say, “There is a serious epidemic of dehumanization plaguing this country. The most unthinkable tragedies have now become commonplace in our daily headlines, yet the media finds a way to conveniently explain away violence. This is what we’re up against.”
She urged Americans to “come together and decide what kind of country [they’re] going to be” before the nation is lost altogether.
“In Romans chapter 12, verse 21, it says, ‘Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.’ This is why my husband created Turning Point USA,” Erika stressed. “So, we can have civil discourse and debate and open dialogue because when we stop talking to each other, bad things happen.”
She concluded, “I am choosing to fight for America for my children, your children and our humanity. We all need to do our part, and by the grace of God, we will succeed and America will remain what she was always called to be: A shining city on a hill, a light to the world.”
Erika’s video also appears to be in response to the attempted assassination of Donald Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner this past weekend, which she attended. After the shooting, a video of Erika being rushed out the dinner received a lot of attention on social media.
