The View cohosts are not buying Tucker Carlson‘s apology.

The far-right commentator recently apologized for “misleading people” about President Donald Trump and being his ally for many years.

On the Monday (April 20) episode of his show, Tucker invited his brother Buckley Carlson, a former Trump speech writer, as a guest.

They discussed their former support of Trump, with Tucker saying everyone who supported him is now “implicated in this for sure.”

He continued, “It’s not enough to say, ‘Well, I changed my mind’ or, ‘This is bad, I’m out.’ It’s very small ways, but in real ways, you and me and millions of people like us are the reason this is happening right now.”

“I do think it’s a moment to wrestle with our own consciences. We’ll be tormented by it for a long time. I will be. And I want to say I’m sorry for misleading people. It was not intentional,” Tucker said.

The View responded to Tucker‘s apology in the new episode, with moderator Whoopi Goldberg asking, “Do you know who just lost one of his biggest supporters over the ongoing war in Iran? Far-right commentator Tucker Carlson says he regrets ever helping put you-know-who in the White House.”

Sunny Hostin responded to the clip of Tucker, saying, “Whatever. I don’t believe him. He’s not getting a bear hug from me. The world’s on fire, and you can’t just say, ‘Oopsies!’”

Joy Behar then chimed in to say she thought Tucker might have “liar’s remorse.”

“He’s lied about everything, so he needs to make a list of all the things he got wrong, not just, ‘Sorry!’” she said.

Other cohosts like Sara Haines and called out Tucker as a grifter, saying he was only saying things to get “clicks and money” for his show and platform.

Former White House staffer Alyssa Farah Gaines said something similar, while saying she doesn’t think Tucker’s making “a true about-face.”

Joy concluded by accusing Tucker of having a “pathological need for relevancy.”
