Michael B. Jordan is hitting the stage at CinemaCon 2026!
The 39-year-old Sinners actor appeared at the film convention alongside co-star Adria Arjona to promote their new movie The Thomas Crown Affair on Wednesday (April 15) held at The Dolby Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Michael is directing and starring in the adaptation of the 1968 movie which originally starred Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway.
Keep reading to find out more…While on stage, the two shared the first trailer for the movie, which begins with Michael and Adria, 33, in a flirty exchange and teasing Michael‘s character as a notorious art thief.
“Tell me something: Does this billionaire thing really work?” Adria asks him. She later offers her assessment of his character, “I think you’re fractured, definitely have commitment issues. No serious relationships.”
Later in the trailer, Michael tells Kenneth Branagh‘s character, “You think it’s yours because you bought it, but it’s not.”
After screening the trailer, Michael explained why the project was important for him to make.
“I’ve been daydreaming of making this movie for years,” he said, per The Hollywood Reporter. “I saw the ’99 Thomas Crown Affair when I was around 9 years old. It was a guy that was smart, sophisticated and always three steps ahead.”
“McQueen brought this effortless cool, this rebellious edge,” Michael continued. “He didn’t just steal. He made a statement.”
CinemaCon marks the first public appearance Michael has attended since winning the Best Actor award at the 2026 Oscars last month.
The Thomas Crown Affair is scheduled to hit theaters on March 5, 2027. You can see set photos here!
