At least one big director can see Sydney Sweeney taking over as James Bond.
Paul Feig, who directed her in The Housemaid, was asked about the Euphoria star potentially becoming a Bond girl and he said he’d rather her “be the next Bond.”
“There have been some cool Bond girls, but come on, let her be the super-spy, she’s great,” the filmmaker told The Sun.

He also said that Sydney, 28, is “one of the hardest-working people” he knows, praising her as “so professional, so smart,” and “so savvy,” all of which would make her “a good spy.”
In October 2025, Sydney attended the wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez, leading people to believe she could be in talks for a Bond girl part since Bezos is the Amazon CEO and Amazon MGM Studios acquired the rights to the Bond franchise.
When asked about it, she said she thinks she’d “have more fun as James Bond.”
While it’s unclear whether or not a Bond role is in the cards for Sydney, she is going to return for The Housemaid sequel titled The Housemaid’s Secret, based on the second book in the trilogy by Freida McFadden.
Kirsten Dunst recently joined the sequel film’s cast, with Paul returning to direct.
