She told Town & Country that the whole family was joining her overseas, and they had rented a house to stay in, but James quickly had a health scare that led the family to return home to LA to be close to their extended support system.
Kirsten stressed that all is well now, but it was a frightening time for the family, and she was left alone in Budapest for months, aside from a brief trip home in April.
However, fear lingered and she noted it was like the movie “Final Destination, where you’re imagining all the things that could go wrong, worst case scenarios happening to your child.”
“I have never seen that movie,” Kirsten clarified. “But I know the concept. That’s how it feels to be a mother at times.”
She added that “it brought us together as a family in such a deeper way.”
Now, Kirsten and co are headed to the Bahamas for a family vacation after promising they would go “anywhere James wanted to go.”
“I want to go to a beach where my sandcastle won’t wash away,” he said.
Kirsten and Jesse, who were married in 2022, are also parents to seven-year-old Ennis.
In that same interview, Kirsten revealed a movie sequel that she would love to star in!
