Brandon Lake and Lainey Wilson are joining together for a timely song, released over Easter weekend.
The 35-year-old singer-songwriter and the 33-year-old country star have teamed up for a new song called “The Jesus I Know Now.”

“‘The Jesus I Know Now’ with my good friend @laineywilson is OUT NOW. I hope it reminds you that, like my Momma used to tell me, ‘Jesus doesn’t just love you – He likes you’ 🤠,” he wrote on social media.
“So excited to have this out,” Lainey added in the comments.
The song was written by Brandon Lake, Lainey Wilson, Emily Weisband and Luke Laird, and produced by Jacob Sooter and Hank Bentley.
“Of the Jesus I know now / Ain’t just a voice up there in the clouds / Yeah, the Jesus I know now / Ain’t lookin’ for trophies to make Him proud / I found a friend / Who hangs with the misfits, listens, forgives, then forgives again / Can’t believe I was missin’ out / On the Jesus I know now,” they sing.
