Madonna was noticeably absent from one of the most exclusive events following the 2026 Oscars, and now we know why.
The “Vogue” music icon typically throws The Party, the ultra-private Oscars after-party co-hosted with longtime manager Guy Oseary. However, she did not make an apperance at this year’s celebration.

The reason appears to be that she is currently working overseas and filming for the upcoming second season of The Studio.
Madonna was seen arriving in Venice, Italy on Monday (March 16), and was later seen filming scenes among a star-studded cast for the upcoming comedy series’ second season, created by and starring Seth Rogen.

During the outing, Madonna was seen wearing a brown faux fur coat, dark sunglasses and a Louis Vuitton hat while hosting an espresso cup. Members of her entourage surrounded her as she filmed in the Italian city.
Meanwhile in LA, the annual post-Oscars event hosted by Guy once again took place Sunday night (March 15) following the Academy Awards. This year, Gucci hosted its own portrait studio inside the event to photograph many of the night’s celebrity guests.
Fans have been eagerly waiting to hear more from her upcoming album due out in 2026, said to be a sequel to Confessions on a Dance Floor.
