The emotional blues track was written by Ludwig Goransson and Raphael Saadiq, and plays a pivotal role in the movie, blending blues, jazz, soul and gospel influences into the ’30s period piece set in the American South.

The soundtrack to Sinners was released back in April of 2025, featuring more than 20 songs performed by blues musicians and members of the cast. Ludwig worked with the director to create music that felt authentic to the era that would also resonate with today’s audience.
