Aaron Pierre has joined the cast of the new Superman movie!

On Thursday (March 12), it was announced that the 31-year-old actor will be appearing in the upcoming DC movie Man of Tomorrow, which is scheduled to hit theaters on July 9, 2027.

Aaron will first be making his DC debut in the upcoming HBO series Lanterns, playing John Stewart, one of the Green Lantern Corps.

Keep reading to find out more…The upcoming HBO series follows new recruit John Stewart (Pierre) and Lantern legend Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler), two intergalactic cops drawn into a dark, earth-based mystery as they investigate a murder in the American heartland.

Lanterns will debut in August, with an exact date to be revealed at a later date. You can watch the first teaser trailer here!

James Gunn wrote the script for Man of Tomorrow and will also be directing it. Production is currently scheduled to begin in April and will film through the summer in Atlanta.

It was previously revealed that in Man of Tomorrow, Superman (played by David Corenswet) and Lex Luthor (played by Nicholas Hoult) will be teaming up to save the galaxy from a new threat.
