The Pussycat Dolls are explaining their current line-up as a trio, despite at one point having three other members.
The “Buttons” superstars announced their reunion in honor of their 20th anniversary, kicking off with a new single “Club Song” and an announcement of a world tour, PCD Forever.
However, this time it’s only three members: Nicole Scherzinger, Kimberly Wyatt and Ashley Roberts.
Previously, the group also had members Jessica Sutta, Melody Thornton and Carmit Bachar.
During an interview, the group explained the reasoning behind their current formation.

“The Pussycat Dolls have always been known for an ever-changing line-up,” Kimberly said to the BBC.
“It just so happens that right now we’re in a space where we feel united and in a place where we’re ready to push forward. And this is the line-up now, for 2026, but you never know with the Pussycat Dolls what might come next.”
“After 20 years, you’re like, ‘Where is everybody?’ But for us, it aligned. People are in different places in their lives, some of the other people have different commitments and priorities, but this worked out for us,” Nicole added.
Ashley said Nicole first “reached out” to the other Dolls about reuniting.
“We had some conversations, and we were just like, ‘We’re on the same page, we’re excited about embracing where we’re at now as women and celebrating that.’ I’m just really excited to get back on stage and swing these hips around in some latex, hun!”
