Stefon Diggs has been let go from the New England Patriots.
The 32-year-old wide receiver signed with the team in March 2025 on a three year contract, reportedly worth $63.5 million, but was released from the team after just one year this week.
After the news broke, Stefon took to his Instagram to share a brief statement.

Throughout the one season Stefon played with the Patriots, where they ended up in the Super Bowl last month, Stefon was the leading receiver with 85 receptions for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns. He was became the first Patriots receiver to record at least 1,000 receiving yards in a single season since Julian Edelman back in 2019!
While his performance on the field was great, Stefon made headlines in less than positive ways throughout the last year.
In December, he was accused of assault and felony strangulation by a personal chef, and he plead not guilty in court in February, days after the Super Bowl loss.
He also made headlines for his high-profile relationship with Cardi B. The pair were first linked together in early 2025 and welcomed a child together in November.
However, rumors swirled that they split around the time of the Super Bowl, and she seemingly confirmed their breakup during a recent tour stop.
