The KwaZulu-Natal Premier’s Office has acknowledged reports of severe physical abuse involving Snenhlanhla “Sne” Nenezane Mthembu after her distressing social media posts went viral. The office stated it is aware of the circulating photos and allegations, and will make proper arrangements to engage with the matter and seek a resolution.
Mthembu has publicly detailed ongoing physical abuse by her boyfriend, Andile Junior (also referred to as Nizokholwa), throughout their relationship. She claims to have reported the incidents at multiple police stations, including Lamontville and Umlazi, but alleges the cases were never properly followed up.
She further accuses police for corruption, asserting that her boyfriend’s father interfered to have the cases dismissed through bribery. In her posts, Sne expressed fear for her life, questioning when authorities would act “when he kills me” after four failed cases.
