François Arnaud stepped out at the 2026 Critics’ Choice Awards, his first time attending the annual event!
The 40-year-old Heated Rivalry actor hit the carpet at the awards show on Sunday (January 4) at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.
During the show, François hit the stage with Sherry Cola to present the award for Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Made For Television, which went to All Her Fault‘s Sarah Snook.
While on the carpet, François shared his thoughts on Miley Cyrus saying she’s down to make a song for Heated Rivalry season two the night before, and he spoke to what he hopes for his character in the next season.

“I think we might get a little bit bigger budget for season two, but I don’t know if we get Miley budget,” he told Variety‘s Marc Malkin on the carpet. “I think if she sees the show, she might give us a discount.”
As for his character Scott Hunter and boyfriend Kip Grady (Robbie G.K.), François says he wants to see some “real-life drama.”
“I think what’s so great about Scott and Kip’s storyline, and in comparison to Shane and Ilya’s, is the aspirational quality of it,” he said. “Now that there’s season two, if we are in it, I would want them to face the continuing challenges of bringing that into real life, for someone uber-famous to be with someone who didn’t choose that for his life at all and is forced into it.”
François then joked, “I think Kip, for the second season has to stop working out. That’s what I want to see. Like he’s a smoothie boy. Why does he have the best body out of all of us? That’s crazy.”
