Mary-Kate Olsen and Sean Avery have been linked multiple times over the years and now he’s revealing the truth behind the rumors.
Amid reports that Sean is back together with his wife Hilary Rhoda, he’s opening up about being spotted with Mary-Kate last year in the Hamptons.

“We’ve been friends for 20 years,” Sean told The Daily Mail. “That’s a long time relationship. We were like kids in New York growing up together.”
Sean laughed off rumors that they’re a couple and noted how rumors spread quickly on social media.
“That’s the beauty of social media now and the algorithm,” he told the outlet. “And I embrace all of that because anything that kicked that algo, you got to get that algorithm going. That’s the name of the game… Of course people are always going to speculate, especially with her. She’s an icon.”
Sean praised Mary-Kate and her twin sister Ashley Olsen for the way they’ve handled stardom throughout their lives.
“What I will say is that, what an incredible example of somebody that has reinvented herself many times. She’s one of the OGs and the two of them, what they’ve done with their career under the scrutiny, like, as an athlete, as an artist, as an actor, I have nothing… I mean, the two of them are incredible,” he said.
Sean and Hilary previously split back in summer 2022 and she was granted a restraining order in September 2023. He just filed to have the order lifted following their reconciliation.
