Kaitlyn Dever and Tim Allen reunited on the set of his new sitcom Shifting Gears!
On Friday (December 5), the official Shifting Gears Instagram posted a video clip of Kaitlyn crashing the set during a taping in front of a live studio audience. She’s shown rummaging in the fridge when Tim walks in and then realizes who it is.
The 28-year-old actress famously played one of his daughters, Eve, on the long-running show Last Man Standing. Her character was considered to be her father’s favorite and they had a sweet relationship on the show.

The pair shared a couple of hugs as the audience cheered. Kat Dennings, who plays Tim‘s on-screen daughter in the newer show, appeared to be in on the bit as she was hiding behind a counter to watch the surprise unfold.
The Santa Clause star also shared a screenshot from the video on his X/Twitter and wrote, “Kaitlyn Dever stopped by my taping tonite at Shifting Gears. Such a lucky man. Truly blessed to have worked and loved so many of my cast.”
Season 2 of Shifting Gears is currently running on ABC with new episodes airing on Wednesdays.
