Kate Walsh is returning to Grey’s Anatomy!
The former series regular and frequent guest star will be back to portray Dr. Addison Montgomery in the January 29, 2026 episode of the ABC medical drama. The ep is titled “Strip That Down,” but nothing is known about the plot, including how Dr. Montgomery will make her return, Variety reports.

We have not seen Kate on the series since she recurred in seasons 18 and 19. She acted in a recurring capacity for those two seasons, but we have not seen her since.
The long-running medical drama series is currently on a mid-season hiatus for the holidays and fans will be waiting a while for new episodes. With the fall finale aired last month and it won’t return until January 8, 2026.
