Donald Trump is speaking out in response to Marjorie Taylor Greene‘s big news.
The 51-year-old Republican representative from Georgia announced on Friday (November 21) that she is resigning from Congress after five years in office.
While she was very supportive of the President in the past, more recently they have been on the outs after Trump shut down her ambitions to run for Senate.
Now, following her announcement, Trump has reacted, saying it’s “great news.”

“I think it’s great news for the country. It’s great,” he told ABC News political correspondent Rachel Scott.
She pressed further asking if he had a heads up about her announcement.
“Nah, it doesn’t matter, you know but I think it’s great. I think she should be happy,” the POTUS said.
Just last week, Trump withdrew his support for MTG after saying she “lost her way” following her turning against his administration.
