The Kid LAROI is kicking off a new era and starting a lot of conversation about his lyrics once again.
The 22-year-old musician just announced his first studio album in two years, BEFORE I FORGET, out on January 9, 2026.
Along with the announcement, he just dropped a new single, called “A PERFECT WORLD.”

The song follows “A Cold Play” released in September, which fans speculated to be a breakup track about ex Tate McRae following their split over the summer, to which she seemingly responded with her own track, “TIT FOR TAT.”
“In a perfect world we’d have it all figured out / Baby, you would be my girl / And if they talk, let ‘em talk, baby / I hate the way you love it when you hurt me / But we could stick it out and make it work, babe In a perfect world, yeah / ‘Cause I’m still here for what it’s worth, baby,” he sings on “A PERFECT WORLD.”
“I put you on, I see you got some taste now / How’d I become somebody that you hate now?”
Notably, the exes are releasing on the same day: Tate is about to drop the deluxe edition of her album So Close to What on Friday (November 21).
He confirmed the split earlier this summer.
The new album follows 2023′s THE FIRST TIME.
