Chelsea Handler will be returning as host of the 2026 Critics Choice Awards!
On Monday (November 17), the Critics Choice Association (CCA) announced that the 50-year-old comedian and seven-time New York Times bestselling author will be hosting the annual event for the fourth consecutive year.

Recognizing and celebrating the most deserving achievements in film and television is important, but it’s also great fun and Chelsea is the perfect person to lead the parade.”
Chelsea added, “Kicking off the year with the Critics Choice Awards feels right — nothing says ‘new beginnings’ like a room full of critics ready to tell you how you did last year.”
The 2026 Critics Choice Awards will air live on both E! and USA Network on Sunday, January 4, 2026 from 7:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT. The star-studded show will once again be held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica and will continue its combined film and television awards format.
Nominations for the annual event will be announced at 9:00 a.m. PT on Friday, December 5 on E! and USA Network’s linear channels, along with on CriticsChoice.com, E! Online, CCA’s social media channels, as well as E!’s and USA’s YouTube channels.
