TikTok star Madeleine White is responding to the backlash she received after attending a rave while suffering from conjunctivitis, a.k.a. pink eye.
The influencer shared a TikTok video earlier this week in which she clearly has pink eye and explains she’s getting ready to attend the Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) in Orlando Fla. to celebrate her 30th birthday with her husband Andrew Fedyk.
People in the comments section were immediately critical of Madeleine for going to a huge social gathering while knowingly having a contagious condition.

The comments section on the original video feature her responding defensively to several users, saying things like “This is my first time hearing in my life you’re expected to stay home with conjunctivitis.. in uk we wash hands, don’t touch eyes and continue as normal” in response to someone saying, “going out with pink eye is wild.”
She later posted a follow-up video on her secondary TikTok account where she wrote, “Today I learned conjunctivitis / pink eye is treated very differently in the US than the UK lol” over a video of her acting shocked.
“Back in the day I didn’t even get a day off school for this…” Madeleine said in the caption.
