Dame Helen Mirren has been named the 2026 Cecil B. DeMille Award honoree at the 2026 Golden Globes!
Helen Hoehne, President, Golden Globes, said in a statement, “Helen Mirren is a force of nature and her career is nothing short of extraordinary. Her transcendent performances and commitment to her craft continue to inspire generations of artists and audiences alike. It is a profound honor to present her with the Cecil B. DeMille Award.”
In a change from previous years, the award will be given out during a new special – Golden Eve – airing on Thursday (January 8) at 8pm on CBS and Paramount+. Along with Helen receiving her honor, we will also see the recipient of the Carol Burnett Award.
Helen‘s career has, of course, spanned decades and she has won an Oscar, Emmy, SAG Award, Tony, multiple BAFTAs and Golden Globes!
Past recipients of the award include Barbra Streisand, Meryl Streep, Tom Hanks and Oprah Winfrey.
The Golden Globes will air on Sunday, January 11, 2026.
